The operational life of current white LED home lighting is 50,000 hours. This is 11 years of continuous operation, or 22 years of 50% operation. The long operational life of LED home lighting is a stark contrast to the average life of an incandescent bulb, which is approximately 5000 hours. If the lighting device needs to be embedded into a very inaccessible place, using LEDs would virtually eliminate the need for routine bulb replacement.

There is no comparison between the costs of LED home lighting vs. traditional incandescent options. With incandescent bulbs, the true cost of the bulb is the cost of replacement bulbs and the labor expense and time needed to replace them. These are significant factors, especially where there are a large number of installed bulbs. For office buildings and skyscrapers, maintenance costs to replace bulbs can be enormous. These issues can all be virtually eliminated with the LED home lighting option.

Our white LED home lighting currently come in packages which contain 36 or 48 LED lamps and can be adapted for use with any power supply or casing. Our clusters allow for conversion to operate from all common caving batteries, e.g. FX5/Kirby pack down to two AA cells, in case portability is needed. We have produced a seven-LED cluster light source as an alternative to low wattage light bulbs and a possible portable light source.

Christmas lights are the strings of little electric light bulbs often used on Christmas trees or to decorate homes or yards. A wide range of strings are available, but this article is about the new LED string light. “LED” stands for Light-Emitting Diode, and the colors they produce are both stronger and purer than dye coated incandescent lamps. The LED string light I discuss here cost about 10 times as much per bulb as the cheap incandescent strings, they have no filament to break and should last longer; their colors do not fade; they use about 1/10 the power for the same amount of light; they run cold: they cannot burn fingers.
Many people find the intensity and purity of the colors in LED string light simply more enjoyable than incandescent lights. LED string lights are not just a more costly modern version of the same old thing, but instead something better and more worthwhile. Someday they will be cheaper.
The ideal from the retail point of view might be for consumers to buy a few strings, use them for a few weeks, and then throw them out. However, since LED string lights are expensive, most consumers probably will want to keep them from year to year. But as with almost any new technology, there are some surprises!
These LED string lights have limited life. In these strings, LED lamps actually go black and must be replaced. We need extra strings for use as replacement bulbs.
These LED string lights have iron or soft steel leads. The leads can and do rust through in a few months if exposed to water. Moisture can accumulate in these sockets when used outside.

All of us realize that LED lighting offer numerous advantages for that client, but a great deal of individuals are unaware of precisely how beneficial LED lighting may be – not only for your residence. The average LED lighting is in a position to run as much as 22 many years without having needing to become replaced. Should you run the bulb continuously, it’ll final around 11 many years. Take into consideration what number of incandescent bulbs you’ll have to get within a 22 year period to match the soloed lighting. The cost within the LED lighting pays for itself within the initial year, when you contemplate the cost of electrical power that you are conserving also.
Most LED lighting will reduce your electrical power bill since they tend to light up the area better than they warmth it – a waste of electrical vitality, so to communicate – because of this giving them an 80% performance rate. This simply implies that 20% in the energy goes into heating the bulb, while an additional 80% just offers lighting for that space. Look at this to incandescent bulbs which are not almost as vitality successful as LED lighting.
The energy savings itself is why a whole lot of individuals create various types of LED lighting within their properties creating these lights a typical fixture in several homes. These may be found in a variety of designs and sizes. You are able to purchase LED lighting; otherwise you can switch your lighting components more than to LED with all the simple purchase of bulbs. The lighting are available in a variety of colors as well, all of which supply the identical cost-effective monetary financial savings.

The T8 LED tubes from AGICO are guaranteed to last a long time, say, like 2 years and above. They will help you save over 70% on electricity bills. For the tube, there are even no maintenance costs for you to foot. You just fix the LED tube and then you are ready to go, switching the lights off and on for a long time.
As LED lighting takes over the lighting in the world, AGICO has made sure to introduce even more enhanced money saving options in the form of the fluorescent lighting tube. This is very decent for both indoor and outdoor settings, but more so in institution lighting. For home and commercial lighting needs, the tube comes in very handy. This is one of the best options for all people and no matter how big an area that you are looking to illuminate, you will find the T8 LED tubes very helpful for the best light ever.

When lighting a bathroom the first and most important focus should be on the vanity lighting. Ideally a vertical fixture should be hung on either side of the mirror. This allows for light to be evenly distributed across ones face. The fixtures should be mounted approximately 5.5’ above the floor (eye level), and 36-40” apart. This helps to eliminate shadows under the eyes and chin.
In situations where installing fixtures on either side of the mirror is not possible due to size and installation constraints the next best option is a light hung directly over the vanity. It should be hung 75-80” above the floor. In larger bathrooms the horizontal fixtures can be used in conjuncture with the vertical lights to give additional overall illumination to the space. A bare minimum of 150 watts of light should be used in lighting the vanity it is always safer to error on the side of too much wattage. In cases where the home owner finds that there is too much light either lower wattage bulbs can be used or a dimmer installed. It is always easier to reduce the wattage of a fixture once it’s installed that to figure out how to increase the amount of light if the fixture installed is inadequate.
For additional bathroom lighting, lighting in the shower and over the bath tub, recessed is the ideal option. For the shower and tub make sure a wet rated model is selected. The only place recessed is not ideal is over the vanity, It has a tendency to cast shadows onto the face making personal grooming tasks such as shaving an make up application to be more difficult.
Some clients prefer a little more glamour over the tub and may request a hanging fixture such as a crystal chandelier, or pendant light. Make sure any hanging fixture you choose is UL approved for a wet rating otherwise for safety and code reasons should not be used in that application.

Given the need nationwide for more energy efficient and cost effective street lighting systems it is no surprise that we are now seeing the emergence of new technologies in LED lighting systems popping up on our streets. They promise to offer lower power consumption and can easily be powered through solar or wind energy generation systems and as a result the operational costs associated with their use are relatively low. This is one thing city administrators and managers are very interested in seeing given many cities budgetary short falls. However, these systems are only as good as their weakest link and in this case it is the LED’s themselves that make these systems second rate.

Nearly all LED bulb assemblies used in the US today have been in one respect or another manufactured in China which to date has proven through a multitude of quality issues on various products that these are no better. This technology has been plagued with quality issues ranging from poor power board quality failure rates as well as only being capable of producing suitable light for a maximum of 50,000 hours. Their use in traffic signal lights has resulted in failures in operational control of traffic at intersections in snow prone areas of the US due to lack of heat to prevent snow buildup in their fixtures. The standard work around for this problem was to install resistance based heating circuits to keep the fixtures above freezing temperatures in order to melt away any snow that might otherwise blind the fixtures lighting from oncoming drivers.

Considering these most basic problems it becomes easy to see why these systems should most certainly not be used in mission critical applications. The short term energy savings are giving way to frequent replacement costs and warranty issues which ultimately will be the death of these systems which would be far better used for minor outdoor property lighting of homes or lots. At least in this case their failure would not likely cause or contribute to any traffic accidents that could potentially cost someone their very life. There is new lighting technology which is certain to rise above that of the LED and offers far greater energy savings as well as greatly extended operational and warranty life. Induction lighting systems which are manufactured right here in the good old US of A have come to the forefront in every aspect and they have done so without any of the severe quality issues suffered by that of the LED.

China is the world LED lighting market with great potential in the country, is the world’s largest producer of electrical lighting, a major exporter of lighting. Lighting is the main producing provinces of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Hubei. China LED (Light Emitting Diode) industry for over 30 years of development milestones, the domestic LED is currently used in landscape lighting, displays, traffic lights, car lights, background lighting, special task lighting and military applications and other applications, enterprises across the country are now nearly thousands, employing 3 million people in 2002 up to sixteen billion annual output value of ten billion yuan. China’s semiconductor lighting market has three major areas: indoor lighting, city lighting engineering, traffic signal system. According to the National Bureau of Statistics figures show that China indoor lighting market growth of semiconductor growth rate of 15% per year, Philips (Philips) Company of China Group, by 2007, its turnover of China from the current 500 million U.S. dollars will increase to 12 billion U.S. dollars. China’s semiconductor lighting can be seen in a very great prospects for development, if the LED technology in the next ten years to mature, to reach the level of the incandescent lamp replacement, its market prospects unlimited.

Residential lighting markets in Beijing the capacity of: Beijing more than 200 million yuan per year residential lighting needs. From the Beijing Urban Construction Committee of the CPPCC Beijing housing market developments on the research to get the Beijing 1200 annual housing demand in square meters. Beijing urban residents by meeting the basic needs of low-limit standard calculation, each of about 900 million square meters of housing; ahead by a certain amount of calculation, each of Beijing urban residents about 12 million square meters of new housing. The results are from Beijing Municipal Land Resources Bureau and the Housing Authority, press the “fifth” of Beijing’s GDP during the average growth of 9% of the cases, the growth rate of per capita housing area is measured. If each household calculated according to a set of 70 square meters per year to stay housing should be added about 17 million. Each set of required electrical lighting fitting into the average calculated at 1,200 yuan, the Beijing should have been 2 billion per year for residential lighting needs. And across the country, with major cities like Beijing market capacity, Shenyang, Tianjin, Xi’an, Chengdu, Kunming, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, Changsha and other nine. Conservative estimates, the current needs of the market size of each room lighting up to 40 billion. If the growth rate of 15% calculated to 2010, China’s lighting market capacity will reach 8.1 billion. Expected to LED technology market in 2010 will reach 25% replacement rate, the indoor lighting market capacity will reach 2.025 billion yuan this.

Because LED light source has a low voltage, high efficiency, no pollution advantages: LED using low voltage power supply, power supply voltage between 6-24V, according to the products vary, so it is more secure than the use of high voltage power supply, in particular, apply to public places; efficient: consumes energy than incandescent light effects with a decrease of 80%; of environmental pollution: no harmful metal mercury. Color index is high: you can change the current color, light-emitting diodes by chemical modification methods to easily adjust the material’s band structure and band gap, to achieve multi-color light orange red Huanglv Lan. Such as the small current when the red LED, as the current increases, you can turn to orange, yellow, and finally to green. But the characteristics of high prices, it is widely used in the hotel industry. Because the hotel industry as the price better than the domestic price-sensitive lighting.

It’s said that the LED light price can drop by 15-20% each year, which strengthens competition in the market. In order to get more market, vendors reduce prices of LED products. As a result, the price will reach one-third of current prices by 2015.

A price war has happened in Japan since 2009. LED lighting sales occupied more than 20% of Japan’s lighting market by volume and 50-60% by sales value in 2010. And average price fell from 5,500 yen (US$67) to under 2,000 yen. LED light bulbs’ market penetration is expected to achieve 30-40% in 2011.

Sources from LED companies demonstrated that the price competition has expanded to China, Europe and the US. Average price of LED lighting bulbs has fallen substantially to the current US$20-23, nevertheless, it is still high relative to the US$4-5 of conventional energy-saving light bulbs.

It is reported that some lighting manufacturers will bring in LED products at end-use price of US$10 in 2011. Combined with distributors and retailers well-known for competitive price arranged to enter the LED sector, the price battle will only intensify in the future.

Conventional lighting giants Osram and Philips strive to break into the end-use market in LED light bulbs. In 2010, Philips used Asia markets such as South Korea, India and Singapore to test market reception. Meanwhile, Philips is reported to enter Taiwan’s light bulb market in the first half of 2011.

Philips Taiwan stated that LED lighting will make the lighting industry change, which should attract many more new customers. Currently, with the development of market, elimination and price competition will be fierce, particularly in the low-barrier retrofit segment. In addition, the long lifespan of LED lighting will limit the lighting source market. Philips said that the luminaire segment will create production value five times that of conventional lighting applications. The luminaire applications will account for 80% of the overall LED lighting market in the future.

LED light bulbs are the greatest thing to ever happen in the world, lighting history since the introduction of the first glowing bulbs at the turn of last century. Some underdeveloped countries like to think that we’re always a bit behind and although this may be true of democracy, new Hollywood movies or fast food, when it comes down to lighting with LEDs we’re pretty much on balance.

LED light bulbs were originally used as a replacement for incandescent indicators and displays in laboratory equipment and eventually in TV’s, watches, radios and calculators. LED prices have only recently dropped enough to make them viable for residential and commercial markets. LED home lighting can include anything from outdoor to Christmas lights. LED Lights convert 70% – 90% of the electricity used into Light unlike incandescent which produces more heat than light. LED’s also last for more than 50,000 hours, substantially longer than both incandescent and CFL. With the LED light bulb there is no replacement cost to speak of as they can last 100,000 hours! To put this into perspective, that’s as much as 100 times longer than any incandescent that usually doesn’t see 1000 hours of operation.

Used continuously they will last nearly 6 years. Most LED fixtures will never have to be replaced. LED lighting is safe, environmentally friendly and contains no toxic mercury. LED lights use 90% less energy than conventional incandescent bulbs and less than half the energy of compact fluorescent lamps. Consuming less energy results in fewer green house gas emissions being released into our environment. LED’s are designed to last for 50,000 hours more resulting in less resources being used as there is no longer the need to replace used bulbs that gets thrown into the dustbin.
